Participants will spend two days exploring the main tenets of Gordon’s Music Learning Theory, experiencing practical applications of the theory through classroom activities modeled by the presenter, and experimenting with teaching strategies to incorporate in their own classrooms.

Instructor: Heather Nelson Shouldice, Assistant Professor of Music Education at Eastern Michigan University, teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in music education and supervises student teachers. She was recently was elected to the position of President-Elect of the Gordon Institute for Music Learning (GIML). She also serves as a GIML faculty member, teaching summer certification courses on Music Learning Theory for music educators and has presented music education workshops and conference sessions in numerous states.

Graduate Credit Information
Participants who attend this workshop have the opportunity to earn one graduate credit for an additional fee of $220 per credit.
