Beyond Ratings - a Guide to Enhancing Solo & Ensemble Experiences is a new WSMA publication that was premiered at the State Music Conference in October. Teachers at the conference encouraged us to inform others throughout the state about this useful new resource.
The resources in this publication have been classroom tested by experienced teachers throughout Wisconsin. They are happy to share their materials and experience in order to help you extend the impact of solo & ensemble experiences beginning with music selection and continuing through assessment of performance.
Beyond Ratings can help:
- Enhance student understanding, independence and ownership related to solo & ensemble preparation and performance.
- Provide models and examples of resources for teacher and student use.
- Promote the teacher's role as facilitator of comprehensive music learning through the solo & ensemble experience.

- Student Learning Activities
