WSMA is a member school organization. Students enrolled at WSMA member schools must register for WSMA programs through their schools’ music teachers.
However, students enrolled at non-member schools or who are homeschooled are eligible to participate in WSMA Solo & Ensemble Festivals by enrolling as “non-members” and following WSMA policies and festival rules. For access to all WSMA programs (not just Solo & Ensemble), parents/guardians of interested non-member students must contact WSMA for their rate and further instruction in lieu of the non-member enrollment described here.
Before seeking non-member enrollment, WSMA encourages parents/guardians to request that their respective non-member schools consider WSMA membership to provide all students at school full access to WSMA programs and support. Official membership translates to expanded educational opportunities at a greater value, celebrating the most good for the greatest number.
Early and prompt enrollment, registrations, and communication help WSMA best serve all students.
All deadlines are firm and cannot be extended. Parents/guardians must carefully select preferred district festival dates to accommodate deadlines and events preparation time. WSMA assigns state festival dates to qualifying students.
