Participants will investigate the tools available online with WISELearn, a WI DPI web-based portal which houses content area resources for the classroom and for teacher learning. In addition, participants will be connecting online and networking with other participants, sharing classroom resources and discussing materials to enhance the arts classroom. Participants will need to bring their laptop or tablet for the session. Lunch is provided.

Dr. Julie Palkowski is Fine Arts and Creativity Education Consultant for the State of Wisconsin- Department of Public Instruction. She has served as arts administrator with school districts in Rockford, Illinois and Madison, Wisconsin, as a Title I Instructional Supervisor, a K4-8th Grade Principal, Music Teacher, and Summer Enrichment Coordinator. In her current position, she serves as an advisor to various state arts organization boards. Julie has facilitated arts education sessions focused on pedagogy, program development, disciplinary literacy, arts assessment, arts education data, and technology. She is President for State Education Agency Directors of Arts Education (SEADAE), co-chair for the Arts Education Data Project, and member of the National Coalition of Core Arts team. She has worked with the leadership dance team in the analysis of public survey responses for the dance core arts standards review and has supported Arts Education Partnership, Americans for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
