Location: Wisconsin Center for Music Education
Instructors: See below
For nearly forty years, CMP has been transforming music education, both in Wisconsin (where it started) and across the nation. In the middle of winter doldrums, come be inspired in a CMP immersion weekend. With a low instructor to participant ratio, you’ll have lots of opportunities to talk repertoire, strategies, and even dealing with your district’s latest acronyms (SLO, RTI, AVID, CCLE). This workshop is geared toward both experienced CMP-ers and those who have never attended a CMP workshop. We’ll delve into all five points of the CMP model, engage in some dynamic demo rehearsals, and learn all kinds of new strategies to rev up the music classroom. This workshop is intended for all music teachers K-12, band, orchestra, choir, or general music. Bring with you 2-3 pieces you’re intending to work on with your own students and go home with dozens of new ideas!
