Tim Schaid has been the executive director of Wisconsin School Music Association (WSMA), Wisconsin Music Educators Association (WMEA) and Wisconsin Foundation for School Music (WFSM) since July of 2012.
Prior to his appointment as executive director at WSMA, WMEA and WFSM, Tim served the Chilton Public School District as High School Principal from July 1990 to July 2012. Tim also served as High School Principal of Suring High School from 1988 to 1990 and was Choral/Vocal Music Educator for both Sun Prairie High School (1986-1988) and Valders Middle and High Schools (1979-1986). Tim also served on the WSMA Board of Directors from 1992 to 2012, serving as WSMA President in 1999, 2000 and 2008.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Music degree with Vocal/Choral and Piano emphases from UW-Whitewater (1979) and a Master of Science degree in Administrative Leadership & Supervision in Education from UW-Milwaukee (1988). In 2005 Tim earned his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis from the School of Education at UW-Madison.
