Sponsored by the Michael Leckrone Endowment Fund
This workshop will provide a “crash course” (comprehensive overview) for pre-service or in-service teachers who have little or no experience teaching marching band. Topics covered will include: resources for music and drill, staff needs, logistical considerations and the various ins and outs of running a successful marching band program on a basic level. This workshop is not intended to focus on the competitive marching band, but could provide a foundation leading into that if desired. Ample Q & A time will also be built in to the day to allow for real world problem solving for those who may find themselves planning for an upcoming season and in need of help!
