Violinist Darcy Drexler is Director of the String Academy of Wisconsin and leads the graduate String Pedagogy degree program at UW-Milwaukee, where she teaches pedagogy and violin. Ms. Drexler is an active musician and teacher, presenting masterclasses and workshops in U.S, Brazil and China. Her students are playing and teaching across the country. She is director of the popular “Teaching the Violin to Children” workshop in Milwaukee. She has been a member of the Dallas Chamber and Dallas Ballet Orchestras, Sinfonia da Camera, Hawthorne Quartet, Illinois Symphony, and Killington Music Festival and has previously taught at the IU Summer String Academy, Wisconsin Conservatory of Music and Illinois Wesleyan University Pre-College. Ms. Drexler holds degrees in violin performance from SMU (B. M.) and U of I(M. M).
