The Wisconsin Comprehensive Musicianship Through Performance (CMP) committee aims to support teachers and students as they adjust to the changes in music classrooms for the upcoming school year. Attend the workshop to learn more about or review the CMP model, focus on quality music instruction regardless of the platform used, and strengthen the use of affective outcomes to better engage and connect with students.
Prepare to think deeply and reflect on how the CMP model can inspire and transform your teaching, especially in these tumultuous times. This gathering is for all teachers (band, choir, general music, studio) at all levels, for those with some CMP experience and those who want to learn about the model for the first time.
Each independent two-hour session will include presentation, guiding questions, breakout time including small group chat and interaction with colleagues and master teachers. Resources will also be provided for personal follow up and exploration. Attend one or all four sessions. The registration fee covers them all!
