Advertising Opportunities

As non-profit organizations WSMA and WMEA are grateful to their Business Partners who help make our organizations function at a lower cost to their memberships! WSMA and WMEA work with over 100,000 music students and 3,500 music educators and administrators yearly. Please contact advertising@wsmamusic.org if you have any questions regarding the opportunities below or sponsoring any of our programs!

Wisconsin School Musician Magazine Advertising

As the official publication and primary means of communications for Wisconsin School Music Association (WSMA) and Wisconsin Music Educators (WMEA), Wisconsin School Musician is written for music educators, school administrators, college students and all who are interested in music education. The magazine publishes articles on news and events in general or specialized areas of music education. For WSM ad sizing information, click here. Artwork files must be high resolution suitable for print publication. PDFs must be high resolution with layers flattened and fonts embedded, saved at 100 percent.

Organizations and businesses that advertise a half page or larger in one issue of WSM OR advertise in all three issues are eligible to be listed on WSMA and WMEA websites as a Business Partner.

Become an Advertiser in WSM: Fill Out The Online Form Here (coming soon for 2022-23)

Electronic Newsletter Advertising

Neither WSMA nor WMEA will sell or give out our members’ email addresses. However, we do send out periodic electronic newsletters to our members in which advertisers can take advantage of advertising directly to our members via email. There are seven different opportunities to advertise throughout the year depending on when and to whom an advertiser is interested in reaching. An ad consists of a 100 word paragraph, a graphic as well as a link. Each newsletter can only accommodate two advertisers. Contact advertising@wsmamusic.org for an example of this opportunity and to reserve your spots for the 2021-22 school year.

State Marching Band Championships Program

Each year, more than 10,000 participants, spectators and marching band directors will be in attendance as more than 30 marching bands from across Wisconsin will perform and compete. The State Marching Band Championships Program pricing starts as low as $125.00!

Reserve Your Spot in the State Marching Band Championships Program Now! Artwork and paperwork due September 17. For exhibiting information, click here.

State Honors Music Projects Programs

WSMA State Honors Music Project concerts are scheduled in conjunction with the Wisconsin State Music Conference. Two printed programs are produced to be distributed at these events: one for the high school concerts and another the middle level concerts. Advertising is available for both programs. All ads are the same size (6.5″ W x 10.5″) and in black and white. For questions, please contact advertising@wsmamusic.org.

Select from an Interior Full Page in the High School State Honors program (estimated 2,500 Printed, TBD) or an Interior Full Page in the Middle Level State Honors program (estimated 1,500 Printed, TBD). Learn more about advertising in the State Honors Music Project by visiting the Wisconsin State Music Conference Marketing Opportunities page!

An educational collaboration by WSMA and PBS Wisconsin Education

Re/sound: Songs of Wisconsin
In a state-wide survey and listening sessions with music educators, we learned about the need for current, authentic, culturally diverse resources, as well as support in teaching with and about music from different cultures. This multimedia collection for general music programs serving grades 4-8 includes video interviews with Wisconsin musicians, performances, audio files, and educator engagement guides designed to help activate the media with learners.

Thank you to…

This organization is supported with funds from the American Rescue Plan Act provided by the National Endowment for the Arts and granted through the Wisconsin Arts Board.
