Professional Development Workshops
Each year WSMA hosts a variety of professional development classes and workshops for music teachers. Through our partnership with Viterbo University, teachers are able to earn graduate credits for many of these courses.
Wisconsin School Musician (WSM)
Wisconsin School Musician is the official publication and primary means of communication for WSMA and Wisconsin Music Educators Association (WMEA). Editorial content focuses on professional development articles written by regular columnists, special feature articles and news of the organizations.
While WSMA is not a political advocacy organization, it maintains close working relationships with various organizations dedicated to advocating for music education.
WSMA and Wisconsin Public Television (WPT) have officially partnered to create Young Performers Initiative, a project in which WisconsinPerforms.org was created, offering special web resources, including quality videos and standards-based activities made especially for Wisconsin music classrooms.
