Dr. Julie Palkowski is the Arts and Creativity Education Consultant for the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Julie has previously served as a music educator and principal. In addition, she was an arts administrator with school districts in Rockford, Illinois and Madison, Wisconsin. She has served as President for the national organization, State Education Agency Directors for Arts Education (SEADAE) and participated in national panels for arts topics, as well as supported standards work in multiple states. Dr. Palkowski serves as a co-chair to the Arts Education Data Project. She curates and moderates social media and website activities for SEADAE, including a podcast and blog site. Dr. Palkowski continues to facilitate arts education sessions focused on standards, pedagogy, program development, arts integration, disciplinary literacy in the arts, arts education data, and technology throughout Wisconsin.

Re/sound: Songs of Wisconsin
In a state-wide survey and listening sessions with music educators, we learned about the need for current, authentic, culturally diverse resources, as well as support in teaching with and about music from different cultures. This multimedia collection for general music programs serving grades 4-8 includes video interviews with Wisconsin musicians, performances, audio files, and educator engagement guides designed to help activate the media with learners.
