Tim Wurgler began his duties as Interim Program Director in January 2022 and transitioned to Program Manager in August of 2022. He previously served for ten years as Program Director for Wisconsin School Music Association (WSMA).
Prior to joining WSMA, Tim was an Instrumental, General and Choral/Vocal Music Instructor, serving several schools in Wisconsin, including Lodi High School (1984), Lakewood School in Twin Lakes (1984-1989), Weston High School in Cazenovia (1989-1990), Wilmot High School (1990-2002) and Door Creek School in Saint Francis (2002-2006). Tim has also served as Director of the Milwaukee Liederkranz and the Milwaukee Damenchor, as well as serving as Director of both the New Glarus Joderklub and the New Glarus Männerchor. He is a retired member of the Central States Judges Association and the Drum Corps Midwest Judges Association. He is an avid Scouter and has served the local BSA Council as Camp Director and Program Manager.
A graduate of New Glarus High School, Tim earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from UW-Madison in 1983. Tim has also done graduate work at Cardinal Stritch University, UW-Parkside, UW-Milwaukee and UW-Madison.
