An “Unconference” (also referred to as an “EdCamp”) is a participant-driven conference model that emerged in the early 2010s. Unconferences prioritize participant voices as leaders and decision-makers. This means that those who are in attendance have opportunities to both participate and lead.
The morning of the event, participants will gather over a light breakfast to propose and organize sessions based on the interest and expertise of those in attendance. After sessions are scheduled, volunteer educators then lead and facilitate sessions by taking their own knowledge and lived experiences to generate conversation and collaboration with their other participant peers.
Plan to join this unique opportunity for educators from all experience levels and backgrounds to share experiential knowledge and participate in community-based problem-solving.
