October Virtual Event Information
Dates: Friday, October 30 & Saturday October 31
Although we are not able to meet in-person in October, we are working to schedule a musically-enriching experience, and an opportunity to meet and socialize with other musically accomplished students!
Schedule
9:00am-12:00pm: Welcome, Introductions, Full Ensemble and Sectional Rehearsals
12:00pm-1:00pm: Lunch Break
1:00pm-2:30pm: Full Ensemble and Sectional Rehearsals
2:30pm-3:30pm: Break
3:30pm-5:00pm: Full Ensemble and Sectional Rehearsals
Saturday, October 31
9:00am-11:30am: Full Ensemble and Sectional Rehearsals
Students are expected to attend all virtual meetings/rehearsals. Students can look forward to:
- Engaging in holistic lessons that incorporate several musical aspects of the programmed repertoire, such as history, theory, style, composition, text and culture.
- Interacting with composers and arrangers.
- Working with coaches and peers in sectionals that focus on technique and skill in a personalized setting.
- Responding and connecting to concepts and other musicians.
Music & Other Materials
Music and October Information was sent to wind instrument, string and vocal students via email on Tuesday, September 9.
Percussion audition results were sent to students/parents via email on Tuesday, September 22. Music and October information will be sent to selected students upon receipt of an acceptance form (included in the result email).
