Conductor’s Letters to Students

Aspiring Music Majors Program

Description: Aspiring Music Majors is a one-day program for students in grades 9-12 who may be interested in pursuing music as a career and/or college major or minor. Students have the opportunity to: visit music representatives from Wisconsin and Midwest universities, colleges and music industries; take in special sessions, performances and exhibits; and get advice from current music majors.

Re/sound: Songs of Wisconsin

In a state-wide survey and listening sessions with music educators, we learned about the need for current, authentic, culturally diverse resources, as well as support in teaching with and about music from different cultures. This multimedia collection for general music programs serving grades 4-8 includes video interviews with Wisconsin musicians, performances, audio files, and educator engagement guides designed to help activate the media with learners.
