Audition Requirements
All students must prepare three key components. Please ensure you view the full requirements linked below for specific details on your instrument.
- A solo selected from the WSMA Festival Music List.
- Required scales (specific requirements are in the full guidelines).
- A sight-reading component. (Note: The specific etude is the only element that changes each year.
Important Note for Jazz: Requirements for the Jazz Ensemble are different from those for Band/Orchestra. Review the full guidelines carefully!

Auditions are held from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on both dates.
