The WSMA Festival Music List is a protected document, but we are happy to share access with publishers. If you are a publisher and have not received a login code yet, please email us.
Interested in submitting music for consideration?
Overview:
- WSMA reviews music based on a four (4) year rotation.
- Music from publishers must be received by the priority date to be guaranteed for consideration. The priority date is approximately 12 months prior to publication.
- Please send scores, not full parts for ensemble music.
- Scores must be engraved, camera ready and available for distribution.
- Recordings are always appreciated!
- Hard copy scores of music selected for the Festival Music List will be placed in our Richard and Nancy Wolf Music Resource Center at Wisconsin Center for Music Education to assist teachers in selecting music repertoire.

Specific On-going Needs:
WSMA is continually looking to expand, update and diversify selections on our Festival Music List. The following are areas of special interest for which we are seeking submissions. While WSMA will accept these submissions at any time, they will only be presented for review during the appropriate year. Please refer to the Schedule of Submissions below. Scores must be engraved, camera ready and available for distribution.
- Music by historically excluded or under-represented composers
- WSMA is committed to diversifying our music list representation with music written by Black, Brown, Indigenous, Asian, LGBTQ+ and female composers. Scores must be engraved, camera ready, and available for distribution.
- Music for SAB choral ensembles
Request for Submissions for the 2025-26 WSMA Festival Music List
Submission priority date: September 1, 2024
You are invited to send review scores of best sellers and appropriate new releases for the events under review. We ask that you consider literature that represents and recognizes diversity, equity, and inclusion through a broad scope of genre, composers and arrangers. Scores must be engraved, camera ready and available for distribution.
Schedule of Submissions
Approximately half of each list under review will be replaced.
