Vocalists

Example 1 (ascending)
Example 2 (descending)
Notated Patterns Example (pdf)
An adult assisting with the video can play a chord progression while the student sings on a neutral syllable (nah, or nee-nay-nah-noh-noo) to demonstrate usable vocal range (high and low) OR the student can sing with the voice specific tracks found below. State the name of the pitch the student ends on for both ascending and descending vocalizes.
All students should perform two vocalizes: “Vocalizing Exercise for All Voices” (descending) and the specific exercise for their voice part (ascending).
How should vocalists record the sight reading portion of the audition?
Note: Students should NOT view the sight reading prior to the this point of the audition.
