Adjudicator Workshops

WSMA adjudicators make a significant impact on students and music teachers that continues long after the music festival is over. Your experiences as an adjudicator will also be inspiring and influential as you prepare your own students for festivals.

WSMA continually strives to provide the best festival experience possible to students, teachers and parents. To maintain a qualified team of trained adjudicators, WSMA encourages interested music teachers to attend an adjudicator workshop to become a WSMA adjudicator.

New this year!
Adjudicator Workshops will be held virtually to facilitate the schedules and geography of participants.  Only the workshop held in conjunction with the Wisconsin State Music Conference held at the Wisconsin Center for Music Education in Waunakee will be in person.

An educational collaboration by WSMA and PBS Wisconsin Education

Re/sound: Songs of Wisconsin
In a state-wide survey and listening sessions with music educators, we learned about the need for current, authentic, culturally diverse resources, as well as support in teaching with and about music from different cultures. This multimedia collection for general music programs serving grades 4-8 includes video interviews with Wisconsin musicians, performances, audio files, and educator engagement guides designed to help activate the media with learners.
